I set a web directory as protected. But when I access it, authentication is not requested. How can I fix it?
RESOLUTION
This problem occurs when web site ID in IIS and Plesk database are not synchronized. To synchronize web sites IDs you need to be server administrator and take the following steps:
1.
“%plesk_bin%\websrvmng.exe” –update-all-server-id
2.
Restart Plesk Management Service (plesksrv)
Note:
The web sites IDs can be not equal when web site was removed and reconfigured using Plesk utility:
websrvmng.exe –remove-vhost –vhost-name=domain.com
websrvmng.exe –reconfigure-vhost –vhost-name=domain.com
